Muscle Milk Pickett Racing have done it yet again, taking victory north of the boarder to extend their winning streak to four consecutive races. Klaus Graf, who celebrated his birthday at the circuit, once again teamed up with Lucas Luhr to fight off the double threat of the Dyson Racing squad. The win adds a further 20 points to their total, giving them a lead over the Chris Dyson/Guy Smith pairing of ten points heading into the next round at Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course.

On the whole, it was plain sailing for the Pickett run HPD. Even a penalty for having too many mechanics over the wall during a pit stop could not halt the charge of a very hooked up prototype. When the dust settled at the end of the race, the #6 car led the #16 by 10.695 seconds.

In the lower classes it was the chance for Conquest Racing to shine, giving the Morgan chassis it's first win in the ALMS, and breaking a nine round winning streak for the Level 5 Motorsports team and Scott Tucker, the team owner. That battle was not as easily won though, as the David Heinemeier-Hansson and Martin Plowman driven Morgan-Nissan fought tooth and nail for the victory over Tucker and his team mate, Chistophe Buchut. In the end it was a pit infringement which gave the ONROAK built P2 the break it needed after the HPD ARX-03b was pinged for crossing the pit exit blend line and sent back through the pits to pay penance.

In LMPC, John Bennett and Colin Braun took the top spot from their Core Autosports team mates, Popow and Dalziel.

In GT the action was its usual blend of spicy and downright flaming. Going into the final laps the battle between the #45 Flying Lizards Porsche and the #3 Corvette was being hard fought. So hard in fact that when Jan Magnussen made the lunge on the last lap, Magnussen was unable to stop Johannes van Overbeek slipping his black and green Ferrari 458 Italia past to claim the race win following a technical exclusion for the Flying Lizard car which crossed the line first.

That gave third in class to the BMW M3 of BMW Team RLL. Joey Hand and Dirk Muller took the spot from the Falken Tyres Porsche of Henzler and Sellers though both were off the class lead lap.

GTC was a case of who wants it? By the end of the race, in which only four Porsche GT3 Cup cars started, only two were running. Those were the TRG machine of Di Guida and Pumpelly who finished ahead of Keen and MacNeil to claim the top two podium spots. Fortunately for the competition, both finished on the class lead lap.

Of the six retirements, only one managed to get wheels turning by the end of the race. That was the #4 Corvette of Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner, though despite their efforts they failed to classify. JDX and Green Hornet both left the circuit empty handed in terms of points from the GTC ranks. The PR1 Mathiason Motorsports entry and Merchant Services Racing car both failed to make the end of the race in PC. Jorg Bergmeister and Patrick Long are officially listed as retirements but made the end before being disqualified.
