Race 1: Smart 4 Two Cup

A dominant drive has given David Moore the win in the first race of the day at Silverstone. The Smart 4two Cup race gave the ex-Ginetta Juniors driver top points from Pat Blakeney by 2.78 seconds. The podium was rounded out by Paul Bates in the #2 car who fought valliently to hold off Sarah Moore, David's sister and a very capable racing driver in her own right.

Caterham Academy Qualifying

An early bid for pole by Autosport Catereeam Academy series leader, Elliot Norris, turned slightly sour by the mid session when he had dropped to fifth on the grid for the final race of the season. The dry track yielded good grip for the 1.6l Caterhams during the fifteen minute session which eventually saw Norris qualify sixth. He enters the final race with a healthy 13 point lead over Robert Chappell.

Jordan Stilp of Northamptonshire put his local knowledge to good use to claim pole position in the Mazda MX-5 Autumn Cup at Silverstone today. His Stilp Property Services sponsored car took the top starting spot by just 0.069 seconds from Adam Gore in the Findmeagift.com entry. Andrew Wright claimed the third place on the circuit ahead of Tom Davis in the Pitstop Autocentre Car.
